Eric Johnson is a long-time resident of South Bay. A retired officer with the San Diego Police Department, Eric has more than 20 years of experience in law enforcement. In addition to his SDPD experience, Eric was a federal agent serving as a criminal investigator with the Internal Revenue Service and Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Additionally, he served with the Bureau of Land Management where he spent five fire seasons as a wild land firefighter on the helitack crew.


Before his federal service, Eric grew up in Nevada, where he earned an accounting degree from the University of Nevada at Reno. Following graduation, Eric's federal law enforcement career took him to Alaska and then California where he attended law school and made his home. Eric graduated magna cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law where he participated on law review and interned with the federal district court, all while working full-time and raising two young children.


Current Work

Mr. Johnson is a current member of the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce, a participant in the Chula Vista Kiwanis Club and an active supporter of the South Bay Family YMCA™. Additionally, he is a former member of the South Bay Bar Association's Board of Directors.

Current Work

Eric has practiced law in Chula Vista, California for 18 years. He is a past president of the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce, a former member of the South Bay Bar Association Board of Directors, and a former Chula Vista Kiwanian. Eric is an active supporter of the South Bay Family YMCA and a founding member of the Chula Vista Charitable Foundation.
